Sunday Morning Surf

I was happy to find out last evening that XiaXue is a Harry Potter fan. She wasn't too happy with the HP4 movie, unfortunately. She has strong opinions on that in her blog post. Gee, and I thought I was a pretty hardcore fan...

This morning I've been ripping some of my audio CDs using Jackie Franck's AudioGrabber. It's a great little program that AA turned me on to. Thru there, I made it to LAME and to http://www.rarewares.org/. The MP3 encoder that I had AG using (because I didn't know any better) was only encoding at a measly 56Kbits. Aww, man! So, I had to go get LAME which is a free and good encoder. Now, I have to go back thru and see how long I've been unwittingly using that. Looks like I'm going to have to re-rip some of the ones that I really care how they sound. Oh well.

While I was tinkering in Winamp, I also go to AOL Music, where they have some free MP3 Downloads. I got one called 'Red Tandy' by Mother Hips. It was actually pretty good and sounds like the Beach Boys. Dopey name for a band though. I guess there are so many bands that they are kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel. If I had a band, I'd just go simple and call it "Band Number 3725". No one can steal my band name now. Nya Nya. © Thanks Ascii.cl.

Something else I saw today was http://pix-hku.blogspot.com/. Can't read much of it, but the pictures areinterestingg. Hehe. I have been clicking a lot on the "this was just updated" on the front page of Blogger. I have 4 of those blogs open right now that caught my eye.

Be back in a little while...
