Sleep?

With work in the morning, what the heck am I doing up at this time?

I'm crazy, obviously.

Parties

I've been to two house parties in the last two days. That's more than in like the last year! :) Friday night, JL, Jen, Josh, Christopher, and Charles came over and we had lovely queso, fajitas, tamales, and fresh baked cookies. We played Wii (Mario Party 8) for a long time and it was a blast. We're gettin a Wii. (Dreaming.) It was superfun. We were up until 5am playing Halo, DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball, and Soul Calibur. My enjoyment decreased as the time went on and I eventually dozed in the recliner. I really don't care for games like Soul Calibur - I suck at them and don't find them enjoyable at all. The last fighting game like that that I liked was Ranma 1/2: Hard Battle for SNES. But that was for the characters, not the gameplay. :)

Then last night we went to Jen's friend Ann's house - well, really Jen's friend is Sarah, Ann's sister, but it's all the same. There, we ate fajitas (!) and Marie Callender's pie, and Jen took tasty Brownies (my fave). We played Wii there too, which made us want one even more. We played the normal sports games, but what was really fun was Guitar Hero III. I have got to have this game. I only played one song, Hit Me with Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar, but I did pretty well. For my first time playing, I think 85% is respectable! It was on easy, so it was only green, red, and yellow, but it was loads of fun!!!!!!!

It's nice to do something different on occasion!

Jumper 2

I saw Jumper tonight. It was great. The entire movie was exposition though. I hope they make a #2 so that the guy can actually do something with this ability. Like saving the world or something...

Myspace

Yech, Myspace is annoying! But it is where all the people I want to talk to lately are, so I go there. Such nasty looking pages, but that's not the site's fault - it's the users with no design skills!!! hehe.

I've been posting lots of pictures and comments there. It is kind of fun, but I just wish it was easier to navigate. Let me introduce you: myspace, meet web 2.0, web 2.0 this is myspace. Why don't ya'll go snuggle up.

Les is More

I talked to my friend Les today, who has a relatively new 6 week-ish old little girl. Congrats again on her healthy addition to the world. They're doing well it seems, though tired like all new parents are. Oho, been there done that, and got the diaper!

Jumper

I WANT TO SEE JUMPER!!!!!

Amusing quote

From Redmond Report, a tech news email that I get:

Microsoft's original offer to purchase Yahoo, made more than a week ago, was valued at $44.6 billion, or $31 a share . The payment is structured to be a 50/50 split of cash and stock. Both sides would prefer a friendly deal, but Microsoft is clearly ready to do whatever it takes to become "Microhoo."

Microhoo...isn't that hilarious? Microhoo Office. Microhoo Windows. Microhoo Pudding. Microhoo Roast Beast! Hahaha.

A Scene

My Friend JL posted this on another site, where I don't use my last name. I've edited it and posted it here because I like it so much.

I killed you Mr. H, I watched you die, with a certain sense of satisfaction I might add but then something happened, something I knew was impossible but it happened anyway. You destroyed me Mr. H. Afterward I knew what I was supposed to do but I didn't; I couldn't; I was compelled to stay, compelled to disobey. Now I stand here because of you, Mr. H, because of you I'm no longer an agent of the system, I'm unplugged, I've changed, a new man like you apparently free...But, as you well know appearances can be deceiving which brings me to the reason why we're here, we're not here because we're free we're here because we're not free, there is no escaping reason, there is no denying purpose because as we both know, without purpose we would not exist.

I love the Matrix!

Ikki-Con

I just returned from Ikkicon 2 in Austin where I helped run the arcade games. It was a freaking awesome blast of a time. Christopher, thanks for being one of the best mates a guy could have. You rock. Aaron, thanks for cheering up the world as the Happy Emo. That was a great part of the whole experience.

I plan to write the details of the day.
