I've spent about 45 minutes total this week working for the scientific betterment of humanity. No, I haven't been signing up to donate my body to science, I've been working on classifying galaxies at
Galaxy Zoo. It's fun to do something useful. While
Seti at Home is great, this is a little more hands-on.
